Preparedness for People with Low or No Vision

It’s important that people with low or no vision have a plan to stay safe and discuss this with their personal safety network (friends, family, carers etc.).

A Braille Emergency Information Pack has been developed to enhance the safety of all Australians (including those who are blind or have low vision).

These are available FREE to people who are blind or have low vision.

Southern Downs residents can Contact Council to request a FREE Braille Emergency Information Pack, or order direct from Braille House, with free shipping.

Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness

Council's Person-Centred Emergency Preparedness (P-CEP) program is a process for people with disability (including those who are blind or have low vision) to create a plan for their needs in emergencies.

Learn more about P-CEP HERE.
