Older Persons Mental Health First Aid Training - Stanthorpe

Free two-day mental health first aid training course to up-skill participants as first responders until appropriate professional help is available - Wednesday 8 and Wednesday 15 May 2024.

Category: Aimed at assisting older persons experiencing a mental health crisis.

Facilitated by accredited mental health first aid instructors, the two-day course aims to reduce the stigma associated with mental health, improve mental health literacy and spark quality conversations that improve help-seeking behaviour and resilience.

The training identifies the signs and symptoms of mental health issues and provides simple tools that can be used to assist someone experiencing a mental health problem, including how the trained responder can look after themselves throughout the support process.

Participants will receive a certificate valid for three years, a mental health first aid manual and valuable knowledge to support our community.
