People with disability face greater risks to their safety and wellbeing in disasters.
Attend this Community Action Forum to help build a more inclusive and disaster resilient Southern Downs region for everyone.
To do this we all have a part to play - people with disability, disability services, community organisations, community members, government, council, and emergency services. This is the second in a series of forums in the region in the last two years.

What are we doing?
We will engage in a reflective discussion about community feedback and key learnings from work that has already been happening in this community.
We will also focus on developing inclusive strategies and actions that use local community assets. These actions will help us to act before, during and after a disaster to ensure the inclusion of people with disability and others in our community.
Who should attend?
People with disability, family member and carers, people who work in disability and community services, emergency services, disaster and community recovery personnel, the local council and interested community members.
