That's why we've introduced a new year-round nomination process for the Southern Downs Regional Council Citizen of the Year Awards.

Instead of waiting for nominations to open, you can now recognise an outstanding local at any time throughout the year. All eligible nominations received will be considered for the next Citizen of the Year Awards, with recipients announced as part of our Australia Day celebrations in 2027.
