Southern Downs Regional Council is looking to explore renewable energy options in a bid to reduce Council’s energy bills. In 2021, Southern Downs Regional Council engaged Peak Services to undertake energy audits at 5 sites and a solar power concept design study at 8 sites. The recommendations from this report will guide Council action over time.
Installation of roof top solar panels will be a gradual process and is scheduled to begin in 2021/22.
