Feral pigs have significant impacts on agriculture, waterways and native ecosystems across the Southern Downs. Effective management relies on landholders, community and agencies working together.
Council is hosting a series of free forums for landholders, producers and community members, led by John Scriven, Coordinator of the Feral Pigs Program for the SWQ Regional Organisation of Councils.
These sessions will provide practical, locally relevant information on managing feral pigs and strengthening coordinated control across the region.
At the forum you will learn about:
- Strengthening biosecurity and protecting biodiversity
- Practical and effective feral pig control methods
- Coordinating control efforts across neighbouring properties
- How Council supports regional feral pig management
This is a free event and no RSVP is required. Everyone is welcome.
