Join Southern Downs Regional Council for a community celebration honouring our local champions who inspire and make a difference in the region.
This family-friendly event is a wonderful way to connect with your community, celebrate achievements and welcome new Australian citizens.
Getting There: Free buses will be available from Warwick and Stanthorpe to ensure everyone can join the celebration. Bus schedules and details will be announced soon - stay tuned!
We look forward to seeing you there as we come together to honour the spirit of the Southern Downs.

Event schedule
- 9:00 am – 11:00 am: Citizenship Ceremony and Citizen of the Year Awards
- 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Live music, morning tea, and a fun community game
Bus times
- Stanthorpe buses depart to Dalveen - 2 coach buses, leaving from 8:15 am and 8:30 am from the Stanthorpe Civic Centre, 61 Marsh Street, Stanthorpe
- Stanthorpe buses return from Dalveen - 2 coach buses depart from Dalveen State School, 40 Pine Crescent, Dalveen at 12:15 pm, dropping guests back to the Stanthorpe Civic Centre
- Warwick buses depart to Dalveen - 2 coach buses, leaving from 8:00 am and 8:15 am from the Warwick Council Office carpark, 64 Fitzroy Street, Warwick
- Warwick buses return to Dalveen - 2 coach buses depart from Dalveen State School, 40 Pine Crescent, Dalveen at 12:15 pm, dropping guests back to the Warwick Council Office carpark
