Digital Connectivity Roadshow helps residents get connected

In a world where almost everyone carries a mobile phone and relies on the internet for everything from work and study to farming and family calls, staying connected is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity.

Southern Downs Regional Council is partnering with Telstra, nbn™ and the Regional Tech Hub to rollout the Digital Connectivity Roadshow, a free and practical workshop designed to help residents and businesses improve their digital connectivity.

With sessions in Allora, Killarney, Stanthorpe and Warwick, the roadshow will connect local communities to leading tech experts to answer questions, provide practical advice and troubleshoot common issues with phone and internet access.
Southern Downs Mayor Melissa Hamilton said the initiative supports the Council’s ongoing digital inclusion goals to bridge the digital divide.

“Reliable connectivity is essential in today’s world for work, study, business and daily life,” Mayor Hamilton said.

“Supporting better access to phone and internet services is a key priority for Council and this roadshow is a great opportunity for locals to get practical help directly from the experts.

“Don’t miss this opportunity to get your digital connectivity questions answered. Staying connected should be simple, wherever you live.”

The community is invited to attend general sessions or participate in tailored business support sessions. Attendees are encouraged to bring their mobile phone, laptop or tablet for on-the-spot assistance.
