Acting Chief Executive Officer Leon Love encouraged Southern Downs residents to Step Up and get behind this worthy community-based environmental event.

“The Southern Downs is home to breathtaking natural landscapes, welcoming parks and beautiful bush,” Mr Love said.

“We can all play a part in taking responsibility for keeping the Southern Down free from rubbish and making a difference in keeping our green and open spaces pristine.

“Creating a Clean Up event is a great way to care for our environment as well as being mindful of sustainable waste practices.

“By volunteering, you will raise awareness of littering and illegal dumping and the impact it has on our region.”
