A new innovative business hub has opened in Warwick to foster the region’s entrepreneurial spirit and support local business and industry.
Located on Palmerin Street, Connection Plus will promote the growth and diversification of the Southern Downs small business community by offering flexible co-working areas, office suites and meeting spaces, without the need for individuals to commit to a long-term commercial lease.
ACCIONA Energía’s partnership with Council to deliver this professional space speaks volumes for the business confidence in the future growth of the region.
Southern Downs Mayor Vic Pennisi said the hub would act as a springboard to strengthen the local economy by providing a dedicated space for businesses to hot-desk.
“Not only do small businesses compliment the economic activity of large organisations by providing the backbone of the supply chains of larger projects, but they are the gateway through which many people enter the economy,” Mayor Pennisi said.
“On the back of COVID-19 lockdowns, there has been much conversation about how communities can harness the benefit of economic development projects and tourism.
“The hub will capture these benefits through education, networking and communication that supports and promotes long-term gains.
“We envisage that the resident co-working space and hot-desks in the hub will foster a community of like-minded individuals who are passionate about delivering economic, social and cultural benefits to the region.
“The central location of Connection Plus will create opportunities whereby local communities, businesses, producers, start-ups and more can connect, innovate and thrive.
“By facilitating a diverse range of programs, events and engagement opportunities through a community of entrepreneurs, alumni's, mentors, private and government partnerships, we are here to help you achieve your goals.”

Connection Plus will leverage the many strengths of the region to support and improve links within local industry supply chains for economic development and the agri-tourism and tourism industries.
