Jumpers and Jazz in July 2023 is just around the corner and for the first time, the iconic Warwick winter festival will boast its very own digital venue trail on the region’s official destination app.
Ahead of the celebrated event, Southern Downs Mayor Vic Pennisi encouraged everyone attending to download the popular Southern Downs & Granite Belt App to make the most of the amazing 10-day festival and their stay in Queensland’s Cold Country.
“Our region is well known for its four seasons and Council’s winter campaign welcomes everyone to Queensland’s Cold Country for Jumpers and Jazz in July 2023,” Mayor Pennisi said.
“Council is pleased to support this premier winter event and has developed the new Jumpers and Jazz in July 2023 Venue Trail to help everyone find their way around the region for the festival’s jam-packed program.
“From 20 to 30 July, Queensland's quirkiest yarnbombing and jazz winter festival will bring big crowds of visitors to our region and invite locals onto the streets of Warwick and into small halls across the region to enjoy music, markets and world-class textile art.
“With more than 100 events on offer at nearly 40 venues across the Southern Downs, festival goers might not always know where the venues are, and with the addition of the Jumpers and Jazz Venue Trail to the official app, Council is solving that problem in a digital way.
“Whether you’re admiring the street trees dressed up in their finest winter woollies, chasing artisan markets, jiving to lively jazz music or seeking out amazing culinary experiences, the trail app captures all the show-stopping events and plants them directly into the palm of your hand.
“The digital trail is an exciting addition to the growing number of online tourism resources available to showcase the region. If you don’t already have the app on your phone, head to the App Store or Google Play, search for Southern Downs & Granite Belt, and follow the download instructions.
“I encourage everyone to soak up everything the yarnbombing festival has to offer this year and celebrate everything that makes the Southern Downs a great place to live, work, play and stay!”
To find the Jumpers and Jazz in July 2023 Venue Trail, simply open the app, tap on ‘Trails’, and then tap on Jumpers and Jazz in July 2023.
Used in conjunction with the official Jumpers and Jazz in July 2023 program, the venue trail will help you pinpoint the locations of venues on a map, confirm which events are happening at each venue, add venues and events to your day using the ‘My Day’ love heart functionality, and navigate to a venue from your current location. To see a map with a swipeable list of venues at the bottom of the screen, either tap on the ‘Start Trail’ button or select a venue from the list and then tap on ‘Show on Map’.
The app also functions completely off-line and is the must-have companion for anyone who wants to find great places to eat, drink and stay the night; follow an art, heritage or Granite Belt wine trail in a car or on foot; learn about the region’s towns; and experience our greatest tourist attractions.
