Websites

  • The Long Paddock website is a Queensland Government initiative providing seasonal climate and pasture condition information to the grazing community.  
  • Australian CliMate shares climate tools for decision makers. There is both a website and an app which can be downloaded on smartphones. 
  • The Managing Climate Variability Program (MCVP) provides climate knowledge to primary producers and natural resource managers. The MCVP aims for better forecasts, practical climate tools and products, and present case studies of people who are incorporating climate risk information into their business decisions.
  • Climate Kelpie is for Australian farmers and their advisors. It connects you to tools and information about climate to help you make decisions about your farm business.
  • Regional weather and climate guides can be found on the Bureau of Meteorology website. Regional data on likelihood, severity and duration of key weather variables can be explored.
  • Landcare Australia offer a range of resources including stories from around the country showcasing landholder innovations.

Updates

Biosecurity Alert (5/8/2020): From 19 June 2020, the requirement to make and keep records of chemical use and new minimum training requirements has been extended to all users of agricultural and veterinary (agvet) chemicals under amendments to the Chemical Usage (Agricultural and Veterinary) Control Regulation 2017.
