Great Australian Bites returns to Warwick in 2022

15 December 2021

Get ready to move and groove Southern Downs, because Warwick’s favourite street party, Great Australian Bites, returns in the New Year!

Celebrating Australia Day, Great Australian Bites is a free event, featuring a feast of local food and home grown entertainment.

Held on Saturday 22 January 2022, Palmerin Street will be packed with some of the region’s best street food vendors, local wines and craft beers on tap.

Southern Downs Councillor Marco Gliori said the family friendly event will be the perfect way to kick off Australia Day celebrations on the Southern Downs.

“From local chefs cooking up a storm to Granite Belt wines on display, Great Australian Bites is a showcase of the region’s best culinary delights,” Councillor Gliori said.

“Great Australian Bites is the perfect way to relax and enjoy the Australian summer atmosphere with family and friends.

“Council is committed to showcasing our local talent and encourages all food and drink vendors, as well as musicians, to submit an Expression of Interest to be a part of this amazing annual event.”

Expression of Interest forms for food and drink vendors can be downloaded here (PDF 680.1KB), and Expression of Interest forms for performers can be downloaded here (PDF 674.5KB).

The full program, including the live entertainment line-up will be announced in January.

Presented by the Queensland Government in partnership with Southern Downs Regional Council and the National Australia Day Council and proudly supported by the HIT network and Triple M.
