Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF)

Find out about Council's Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) and how to apply for funding

    The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is a partnership between State and Local Governments which invests in quality arts and cultural experiences across Queensland based on locally determined priorities.  RADF promotes the role and value of arts, culture and heritage as key drivers to: support diversity and inclusivity; grow strong regions and provide training, education and employment opportunities for Queensland artists and local communities.  Everything an applicant needs to know about RADF can be found in the RADF Guidelines (PDF 465.6KB) Council encourages all applicants to read the Guidelines prior to completing their application form online.

    Funding Rounds

    The RADF program is open for applications as per the dates listed below - or - until the budgeted funding allocation has been depleted.

    Opens Closes For projects taking place between

    1 December 2023 and 31 December 2024

    Applications must be submitted a minimum of four (4) weeks prior to the commencement of the event or project to provide adequate time to process the grant application.

     

    RADF Application

    Applications for RADF are made online via SmartyGrants and will be available for completion in accordance with the dates as noted above.   

    The SmartyGrants Help Guide for Applicants and the SmartyGrants - Applicant FAQ's may also be of assistance . 

    Applicants may telephone SmartyGrants - Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm AEST on (03) 9320 6888 or via email to service@smartygrants.com.au.  Applicants may also contact Council - Monday to Friday between 8am and 5pm on 1300 697 372 (1300 MY SDRC) or via email to mail@sdrc.qld.gov.au.

    The RADF - Eligibility Checklist: Professional/Emerging Professional Artists (PDF 144.9KB) must be completed by each artist and artsworker who will be involved in the RADF project.

    Successful Grants to Community and RADF recipients are welcome to Book & Borrow a Council Banner (PDF 312.4KB) to use for their projects.  This provides another avenue for the purposes of acknowledging Council's contribution to your project to be included in your Grants to Community Acquittal Form or RADF Project Outcome Report.   Please allow a minimum of five (5) working days before collection.

    Public Art

    If you are seeking RADF funding towards a Public Art project, you will need to seek approval through Council's Public Art Reference Group and Council before you submit your RADF application. Complete the online Public Art Project Proposal application form.
