The My SDRC App gets an upgrade

27 November 2020

Southern Downs Regional Council has developed a new version of the My SDRC App and wishes to advise that it is now available and ready to be used by the public.

This upgrade improves compatibility with a wider range of handsets and addresses the recent technical issues with the ‘Fix it’ feature.

The new app is available for both Android and Apple platforms and is free to download from the respective app stores by searching for “My SDRC”.  To avoid confusion, users are advised to remove the previous app from their device prior to the new installation.

Southern Downs Mayor Vic Pennisi is a strong advocate for the My SDRC app and encouraged residents to download the upgraded version to access all the latest Council news.

“The My SDRC App is so convenient! It’s a handy and time-saving information tool which provides users with all the latest Council news quickly and easily at their fingertips,” Mayor Pennisi said.

“It becomes particularly relevant during natural disaster events in our region as the ‘Alerts’ feature provides regular updates as events unfold. Going into bushfire and flood season is the opportune time to make sure you have the app on your device. I wouldn’t be without mine.”

The ‘Fix-it’ page assists customers to instantly report an issue to Council with the ability to upload photos.  The app also provides easy access to Council and Councillor contact information, Council news, alerts, Council employment opportunities and Council’s social media pages.

More information is available on Council’s webpage https://www.sdrc.qld.gov.au/payments---services/my-sdrc-app.

Council apologises for any inconvenience while the app was offline and thanks users for their patience during the upgrade.
