Redirection of Locke Street, Warwick Traffic

Redirection of Locke Street, Warwick Traffic

1 April 2020

As at 4:00pm Wednesday 1 April, traffic travelling along Locke Street, Warwick, will be redirected to enable preparation for the installation of a COVID-19 drive through testing point. Residents will be advised by Darling Downs Health if and when this commences.

Those wishing to access the western end of Locke Street via Wallace Street (New England Highway) will need to use alternative routes. Alternative routes include Glen Road or Pratten Street.

Residents travelling east on Locke Street can access Wallace Street by left turn only. A map is provided for clarification.

Cars will be directed to exit the testing point by travelling east on Locke Street and turning left onto Wallace Street.  Those who do not meet the testing criteria will be directed to travel the same route without stopping.

Residents are asked to take extra care when driving due to road closures. Please be alert as there will be road crews on site and other road users may not be expecting closures.

Southern Downs Regional Council thanks residents for their patience and cooperation as all agencies work to ensure public health and safety.

For more information on road closures please visit www.qldtraffic.qld.gov.au.
