Pound Facilities

All releasing fees are to be paid to at a Council Administration Office prior to picking up an impounded animal.  Council Administration Offices are open between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.  Owners will be given a receipt and must take the receipt to the pound for release of their animal.  

Animals will not be released on week-ends or public holidays.

Community members are able to leave stray dogs and cats at monitored drop-off boxes at both pound facilities.   These boxes are accessible and available 24 hours a day, 7 day a week.  

Both pounds can take livestock and other animals.
