Water & Sewerage Connection Policy
SDRC is currently finalising both the water and sewerage (wastewater) infrastructure policies. These policies will provide a framework to guide development affecting new and existing water including sewerage infrastructures across the Southern Downs region. These policies will apply to any businesses or persons who intend to connect to, or disconnect from the SDRC's existing water and sewerage infrastructures/networks. Specifically, these policies endeavor to deliver:
- Increased consistency in assets planning, design and construction standards pertaining to water and sewerage infrastructures across the region;
- Maintaining standardisation to support the development planning; and
- Better services for the residents of the Southern Downs region.
