Southern Downs Regional Council wishes to advise that collection times for domestic kerbside waste and recycling in the Stanthorpe area may vary over the coming weeks and reminds residents to put their wheelie bins out the night before or by 6am on collection day to avoid disruption.
Residents whose bins are collected on a Wednesday could initially be affected due to trucks progressively carting waste from Stanthorpe to Warwick to help extend the life of the Stanthorpe landfill cell.
“We understand the changes could cause some initial inconvenience and Council appreciates everyone’s assistance and co-operation during this period,” a Council spokesperson said.
“It is important to note that only collection times may vary, and the collection day will remain the same.
“To be on the safe side, we remind residents in the Stanthorpe area to put their bins out the night before or by 6am on collection day.”
Waste collection in other areas will continue as normal.
