Maintaining and improving the region’s roads for the safety of all road users is a priority for Southern Downs Regional Council.
In the latest round of upgrades, Marsh Street in Stanthorpe will be closed between Lock and Connor Street from Saturday 31 October to Sunday 1 November 2020 to resurface the road.
As sections of Marsh Street will be closed to traffic, Council will have traffic controllers onsite to assist road users and facilitate access for local residents to their properties.
While every effort will be made to minimise and limit disruptions, Council anticipates that there may be some minor delays during construction.
Access to RSL Club will be available to patrons via Talc and Corundum Street entry.
It is important that no vehicles are left unattended overnight in Marsh Street on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October.
Council apologises for any inconvenience and thanks the community for their cooperation while works are carried out for the safety of all road users.
Please note that the dates and duration of the works are weather dependent.
