Urban Design Frameworks
An Urban Design Framework (UDF) assists Council identify projects and strengthens the implementation of the Shaping Southern Downs document, by providing finer grain details on how best to help distinct townships and villages: Grow, Prosper, Connect and Sustain their unique identities. The frameworks are developed after consultation with the local community and Council.
Identified projects are used to inform future Council budgets, strategic planning, capital and service delivery priorities. They are also utilised to help leverage funding or grant opportunities from State and Federal Governments.
