Council programs and initiatives

Council offers a series of initiatives to help create a more sustainable environment. Where possible Council sources grants to extend opportunities which can benefit our community.

Water

• Be Waterwise - Residential includes fact sheets on saving water around the home and in the garden
• Be Waterwise - Business includes many free resources which may benefit your business
• Showerhead & Sprinkler Exchange Program residents and businesses can swap their old style showerhead or sprinkler for a 3-star WELS rated device for free
• Rural Water Tank Rebate - this initiative is currently closed

Newsletter - subscribe now

Council also offers a monthly newsletter featuring an assortment of information related to sustainable living and how to create a local habitat in your own back yard. The newsletter highlights interesting websites, podcasts and books as well opportunities where you can make a real difference by participating in citizen science initiatives.
