Organisation Summary
Drug Arm Australasia is a specialist, non-government alcohol and other drug agency.
DRUG ARM Australasia is a specialist, non-government alcohol and other drug agency. DRUG ARM is committed to reducing harms associated with alcohol and other drug use for individuals, families and communities throughout Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. This is achieved by providing a vital outreach of care and compassion to community members, through a range of evidence-based interventions offered within education, awareness, prevention, rehabilitation and support programs.

The AOD program operates within a harm minimization framework and provides individualised treatment plans, which can include interventions such as exploring ways to cease or reduce substance use, drug and alcohol education, relapse prevention, anxiety or stress management, or strategies to enhance self-esteem and coping skills.

Workers can also facilitate referrals to other services, and provide support and advocacy for clients. The program provides individual client sessions (usually weekly), and are free of charge for clients. This service requires voluntary engagement by clients.

What should I expect during sessions?

Confidentiality and respect
Non-judgemental approach
Alcohol, tobacco and/or other drug educational materials at your disposal
Ability to connect with other services to provide all-round support and advocacy
One on one counselling sessions confirmed by appointment
Supporting environment that seeks to empower you, the client, towards the changes you choose.
