    The Grants to Community Guidelines includes a Glossary of Terms and Frequently Asked Questions.  Everything an applicant needs to know about Grants to Community can be found in the Guidelines.  Council encourages all applicants to read the Guidelines prior to completing their application form online. 

    Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) Guidelines - 2017/2018

    RADF is a partnership between State and Local Governments which invests in quality arts and cultural experiences across Queensland based on locally determined priorities.  RADF promotes the role and value of arts, culture and heritage as key drivers to: support diversity and inclusivity; grow strong regions and provide training, education and employment opportunities for Queensland artists and local communities.  Everything an applicant needs to know about RADF can be found in the Guidelines.  Council encourages all applicants to read the Guidelines prior to completing their application form online.

    Tips to Help Write a Successful Grant Application    

    Not all grant applications are successful, therefore, in an endeavour to assist Southern Downs not-for-profit organisations write their applications, the below document has been compiled for your reference.


    Application Forms

    Applications for Grants to Community and RADF are made online via SmartyGrants and will be available for completion in accordance with the dates each Round opens and closes as noted above.

    Book & Borrow a Council Banner

    Successful Grants to Community and RADF recipients are welcome to Book & Borrow a Council Banner to use for their projects.  This provides another avenue for the purposes of acknowledging Council's contribution to your project to be included in your Grants to Community Acquittal Form or RADF Project Outcome Report.

    Requests for Council Sponsorship

    Requests for sponsorship from Council are to be made by submitting an application form for a Grants to Community - when it is open.


    Requests for Letters of Support

    Requests for a Letter of Support from Council, to accompany a grant funding application external to Council, needs to be made by completing a Request for Letter of Support Form (PDF 555.4KB) and returning it to Council. 
    Please allow five (5) working days for completion.
