Harris Street, Stanthorpe & Market Square, Warwick Sewer Pump Stations Refurbishment
29 April 2021
As part of Council’s ongoing commitment to improving the ageing sewer infrastructure across the region, Offaly Civil Engineering Pty Ltd has been engaged to undertake works to upgrade the sewer pump stations located at Market Square, Warwick and Harris Street, Stanthorpe.
The refurbishment of the Market Square and Harris Street sewer pump stations will provide sewage emergency storage and enable continuity of services during power outages. The refurbishment will further enable the bypass of pump stations in the case of rising main failure.
The works at Market Square commenced on 20 April 2021 and are expected to continue until 19 May 2021, with the Harris Street works following on from 19 May 2021 to 3 June 2021, weather permitting.
Works will be carried out during business hours between 7.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Saturday.
Residents and business owners in the construction area can expect some noise and dust as well as minor traffic disruptions.
Council and Offaly will monitor and limit disruptions where possible.
The Southern Downs Regional Council and Offaly appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation during the refurbishment and look forward to delivering improved services for our community.
