Killarney Flood Emergency Warning System - Notice Of Audible Siren Testing

Killarney

Flood Emergency Warning System

Notice Of Audible Siren Testing

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the audible Flood Emergency Warning Siren located next to the Killarney Fire Station will be tested between the hours of 9.00am to 12.00pm on 7 November 2018 as part of the annual testing of the Killarney Flood Emergency Warning System.

During testing the siren will play a pre-recorded message followed by a wailing tone similar to that of a commercial fire alarm.

Council seeks your co-operation during this period and apologises for any inconvenience suffered.

N.B.  Activation of the Test Message does not imply that the township of Killarney is under immediate threat of flash flooding.  Any activation outside the stated times above indicates that the township of Killarney is at risk of flash flooding and you should activate your emergency plan.

Please contact Council on 1300 697 372 should you have particular concerns during this time.
