Meet The Drover’s Daughter author Patsy Kemp
4 September 2019
The adventures of a droving family and the honest description of a uniquely Australian way of life are charmingly and wittingly remembered in Patsy Kemp’s book The Drover’s Daughter.
Travelling as one of seven kids with her two parents, three workmen, six horses, four dogs and large mobs of cattle and sheep, Patsy’s autobiographical book offers a fascinating insight into life in the Australian outback.
Meet Patsy at the Warwick and Stanthorpe Libraries as she discusses her story of a childhood spent with her family traversing the stock routes of western New South Wales and southern Queensland.
According to Patsy, her book tells it ‘warts and all’ about the happy times, the hard times and growing up calling the long paddocks home for the first fifteen years of her life.
