PUBLIC NOTICE - Asbestos Removal at Warwick Town Hall

Licensed asbestos removalists have been contracted by Council to remove asbestos in the southern and eastern sections of the Warwick Town Hall as well as in rooms beneath the Town Hall, with work due to commence this weekend, Saturday 22 April 2017.

The asbestos sheeting removed on the southern and eastern sides of the building will be replaced with new sandstone-coloured corrugated iron which is in accordance with the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection Exemption Certificate for works on a State heritage listed building.

There will be changes to pedestrian access through the laneways on either side of the Town Hall due to the asbestos removal exclusion zone, which will be temporarily fenced. Your patience during this time is appreciated.
